Duration of intended stay for Long Stay D visa

Hi,

I am going to apply for long term 'D-Visa'.
In Online application form, below 2 fields i need to fill:

1) Duration of the intended stay or transit (number of days)
2) (Last) intended date of departure from the Schengen area

I got Work Permit for 1 year currently. It will be extended.
So, Please let me know what i need to fill for the above two fields in application form.

1) Duration of the intended stay or transit (number of days)
-> If it is not a mandatory field, do not fill anything. If it is mandatory, go with 365 days. Consulate knows that D type visa is for long stay.
2) (Last) intended date of departure from the Schengen area
-> If it is not a mandatory field, do not fill anything. If it is mandatory, fill a date 1 year from now.

Hi Abdul,

So, I have the same question that you had. So you used 365 days and some date 1 year after your arrival date? You had no problem doing that?

Your work permit has end date.

From the day I am arriving @ Belgium to the end of permit I have counted and updated.

If you update 365 also no issues.

I have updated less than 365, but I got visa for 365 days only.
