Health Insurance

Anyone on the island that has chosen a health insurance already? If so can you provide the company name. I hear Triple S suppose to be a good provider and accepted pretty much every where on the island.?

I currently have Triple S, I've also had Humana. Both were plans through employer. I found Humana was easily taken and billed by providers without an issue. On the other hand, with my current triple s plan I do have a deductible and am constantly asked what my copay is and if I know if my procedure is covered or not. Of course all plans are different, so it might be best to call around offices and see what insurance plans they take and once you've chosen your plan make sure what your coverage is. Some plans may say they cover at 100% but it might be of a certain fee or specific procedure and you'll be responsible for the remaining amount billed. Best of Luck!

Tripple S and MCS are the most popular in the island followed by Humana. To my knowledge most members are using Tripple S.
