Hola Friends ~

Over here on Avenue Isla Verde in Carolina, it's time I head in for a thorough dental exam and cleaning.

'Smile and Open Wide'

Are there dentists similar to this one anywhere on this interesting island?
So far, I've had several great successes with such a dentist as this one.

OMG, Mitch Marder is a college friend and the dentist who literally saved my life! I just moved to Puerto Rico and am in search of a holistic dentist. Did you ever find one?

The dental industry is a pretty toxic industry. Holistic, naturopathiic, or biologic dentists are dentists that have undergone additional training and commitment to reduce the toxicity. If you are going to get root canals, fillings put in or removed , this kind of dentist will do it in a less toxic fashion and possibly help you to detoxify from past work.

This type of dentistry is apparently controversial. Think I’ll stay with my regular dentist.

Each person is free to believe in whatever, but I do like the article, with 1 sinle exception, filling made with mercury can not in my mind be a good idea given the potential of Mercury accumulation in the body, we get it also from fish and other food and we get it from the environment, so why make it worse.

As a kid I received several of those fillings, but I have never had an issue. Maybe I was lucky, but why tempt faith.

Guess I’m kinda conservative on medical issues. I worked in the healthcare industry for many years, and come from a medical family.

I trust evidence based medicine - the other stuff, not so much.

Have a good day. It’s a beautiful day on the beach today - a smart guy I knew said “any day that my vision is not obscured by dirt is a good day”. 😎

I am in search for one myself but found a website called Holistic Dental Association the website is holisticdental.org. I am also in search of a holistic doctor on the West side of PR.
