If you aren't a Vietnamese citizen you cannot buy land of any type in Vietnam. You can marry a Vietnamese citizen and then buy it in her name but it will be listed in her name only.

Dear tongtqt,

While it's true that you can't buy land, it is possible because I have done it. Unfortunately, I had a stroke 13 months ago and I haven't been working the farm since that time.

If you want, I can describe it for you and take a look at it if you want. I have almost two acres and a separate house with garden and I am not married.
