I currently live in Nha Trang for the last 1 year.

Seems like i will be staying long term so I was looking to see if there are any self sufficient/off grid communities I can be a part of?

Also as a tinfoil hat, I am open to all conspiracy theorists, but also biohackers who has taken hold of their health in their hands.

Other than that yoga and chess and active games like pickleball are my interests tho i couldnt find a place to play yet.

My name is Tony, I am an American looking to relocate to lovely Vietnam! I am an IT professional by trade but also enjoy working with my hands. My hobbies include hiking, travel, food (I'm a foodie), golf, beach time, sailing/boating, exploring, art and spending time with people I care about.

I am new to the ex pat world, just starting my journey (learning what documents I need, finding a stable job then housing, having a support group or 2 already in place for when I get there, etc..)

I look forward to making many friends and making this the most incredible journey!

First day of retirement today.  We are from Melbourne in Australia.  We are preparing ourselves for our long held dream of moving to Da Nang.  Whilst I have now retired my wife still works and she can do that from anywhere as she works from home 100%.  We will visit Da Nang in late September this year to sus a few things out.  I am hoping through this forum I can get some great tips about rental provider recommendations, areas to live etc.  We are looking at making the move mid next year.

I just completed a visa run, but that's not a long term solution to settling in.  I'd love to find a business opportunity, but a retirement visa might be my best option. Time will tell...

Unfortunately, Vietnam does not have (nor has it ever had) a "retirement visa".
