Where to buy private property with ocean view and shops etc

Hi my name is Al and have been residing at Alexandra headland Sunshine Coast for the last 23 years and have come to the realisation that I will be 70 in august and it’s about my new beginning in a whole new place culture and people. Never married my baggage fits in the overhead locker of a small plane. My siblings have their life so this is all about me. I have looked after myself all my life and lived alone for a majority of that, now I want to employ a housekeeper to make it easy for me and someone else will be in the house to alert authorities should the need arise. I don’t have a need to run and compete anymore, being a builder all my life has left me with a few restrictions.

ideally I would like to buy a private property with own pool 3 bedroom no maintenance etc with ocean views now here’s the problem where to buy Phuket or Koh Samui or any other place that I can buy with ocean views etc with shops and medical. Island living has its restrictions but privacy seems a given. Nevertheless this was basically an introduction, I will arrive in Phuket on the 22nd of May with 2 weeks to do a bit of a reckie and see what I can come up with. I would be so appreciative of any help or advice anyone can send my way as this is big step on my own a bit of local knowledge could be invaluable. Do appreciate in advance

Curious if by yourself you are looking at 3BR? I am only looking at 1BR. I'd rather put extra saved money from buying big property to daily cost of living fund. Imagine what the extra money could mean to you -- dine outs to fancier places and more enjoyment attractions. I could also use part of money saved helping out locals by paying them to beautify the neighborhood -- cleaning, planting more trees and shrubs -- gentrification and they also benefit with a bit of money.
