Property buy or rent?

Hi, we are looking at retiring to Koh Samui next year (hopefully), what we would like advice on is, are we better off buying a property or renting a property long term?

It depends on your situation. With me I would buy because I like the area I live in and it means I dont pay rent. The other advantage is I can sell if I want to move for some reason I would sell. The advantages of renting is of course you can move any time you like. Good luck with your decision.
