Just saw films of the first storm of the year with sustained 90 mph winds hitting Samar and heading towards Manila and then projected to be heading north right through central Luzon. At least it will cool things off a bit, high of only 29C in Manila tomorrow. Looks like not much social distancing in the temporary shelters. Spell check corrected my title to Rambo, hoping it will not be that kind of devastation.

Surigao City too is preparing for the storm 'Ambo'/ 'Vongfong' that hit Samar at 150km/h earlier today noon!
Here we only have Cloudy skys but NO RAIN/Strong Winds as yet!
Keeping fingers crossed!
