Landing in Manila need to go to Beguio

         Welcome bike guy.  Victory bus lines is a good ride to Baguio.  If you are 60 or older, tell them and your driver's license will get you the senior discount.  Should be easy to get cabs to and from the bus terminals.  Good idea to get a few thousand pesos when you land, best to do transportation business with cash.

Oh, I totally get that. I also know that I need to carry cash there. The problem is I don't know how to get all this stuff lined up. I don't have phone numbers, I don't have times, I don't have anything. I was kind of hoping to get some information on that so I could start now and call him and see what they can do.

Sounds like you have flights booked to manila.  There is a bus from terminal 3 to clark every few hours and a bus from Clark to baguio.

I admire your planning! Generally here there are 4 types of services offered. 

Economy are very basic and rarely have functioning aircon. Not very many expats seek the economy fares.

The next are called "aircon" service. Airline economy type seats with cool (sometimes freezing cold...) aircon. Few stops and use express lanes.

Tsecond tier are premium express busses. Similar to aircon service, but equipped with a toilet. Fewer in number than aircon. Both stop at rest stops about every 2 hours, so premium service may be overkill.

Sleeper busses are the top tier, but still relatively new and not frequent.

Aircon & premium busses will take 6-7 hours from Manila. Using the bus to Clark should take about 2.5 to 3 hours at your arrival time. Clark is a major shopping center with a small bus terminal. Not sure of services from Clark to Baguio, you'll need to research.

If you've never been to Baguio, bring at least a light coat or sweater year round. Also be ready for many hills in and around the city.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy. Firstly relax as you have months before your flight. I have no idea how long you are planning your trip to the Philippines for but regardless for me no matter what country I'm visiting I order the foreign currency from my bank well before I depart, say for the Phills I always arrive with 8 to 10,000 pesos and make sure you order plenty of smaller denominations as most cabs, grab, food vendors don't like P1K bills when it comes to change. Don't forget to notify your bank of your travel itinerary or they may cancel your debit/credit card.

I'm not aware of any sleeper buses but suggest probably the closest decent bus terminal is in Pasay, not too far from the airport, as Skip Scott suggests book an A/C bus to Baguio as it's around a 7 hour trip. Here is one to look at and should be around P800 or less.

There are plenty of services/companies around and all available online with a simple search. same with hotels etc.

There are no such thing as sleeper buses after you land make your way to the bus terminal and board to baguio bus you pay the conductor on board he will ask you where you are going give you ticket the price will be on it after he has repeated the process to other passengers hw will then look for your fare

I don't think sleeper service comes out of the airport. You'll have to find the bus line with sleeper service from terminals in Manila. Each company has their own dedicated terminal. So, for a sleeper bus, you'll arrive & navigate to the applicable terminal. Reservations are encouraged. Search "sleeper bus Manila to Baguio" on the internet. Best bet is to travel from their terminal to Baguio.

If you choose to get to the terminal by taxi, only use the airport taxi service. They will have a kiosk outside the terminal where you state your destination & get you a ticket to hand to the YELLOW TAXI driver. The guaranteed fare will be listed. There are no "traffic delay" extra charges with them.

DO NOT use a white taxi. God knows how long they will drive you around & hold you captive to run up the fare.

Every taxi has a sticker or etching of the company, license plate number on the bottom of the back side windows. Take a pic in case something happens.

Agree Skip Scott, yellow cab from the airport or Grab.

To the OP. for me after 9 or 10 hours on a boring flight no matter country I always book a hotel not too far from the airport, a decent nights sleep, breakfast and start the new day. Buses yes book your seat early or you might find yourself sitting in the aisle here.

I have never heard of sleeper busses here so good luck with your searches.

Like any country one visits research will win the day. Remember here is a third world/developing nation and booking well ahead will pay off. Online searches are a must for any country.

Oh, I totally get that.

Your posts remind me of one of those tacky game shows where you get 3 attempts at the correct spelling of a city. You failed even though you were given the correct answer before your third attempt. If you don't 'get that' then its of concern  that you are not assimilating the useful answers to your questions.

My advice to all newbies to the Philippines is the same. Don't wear your 'I'm the new guy in town' t-shirt

And simply Lotus? Why God made google. Trees for the forest etc. 40 odd years ago for international travel I went to travel agents time and again, the advent of the net and search engines changed all that big time, all at your fingertips, no need to leave the house. Far better info and prices online. Read the reviews etc.

Each new destination for me/us is googled to death and no complaints.

A sleeper bus? Perhaps a Winnebago and driver?

I remember booking a trip to Athens/Islands etc. for 6 weeks and my better half said "oh I found a shuttle service to our hotel, only EU140,,,,,,, no mate we catch a bus that stops at parliament house 2 blocks from our hotel @ EU 5 each,,,,,,,, how did you find that? Google. Every 20 minutes to the city, Bus better views.
