Rice Production Contributes 1 1/2% of Greenhouse Gases
According to Bard AI contributors of greenhouse gases.
(1) Power Generation 25%
(2) Industry 21%
(3) Animal husbandry 14.5%
(4A) Cars 10%
(4B) Croplands 10%, which Rice is 1 1/2%
(5) Landfills 3 to 5%
In 2022 Solar, Wind and Hydro produced 12% of global power generation.
Fred said. . . That comes to 100% ... or maybe not.
I call balderdash.
The thread is somewhat pointless

I guess math wasn't your best subject among other things, those five things listed comes to 85.5.
Well Bob regardless of what some say I believe your post to be very relevant considering where the world is headed.
I'm surprised by only 12% for alternative energy supplies but Bard AI gave 2 year old figures, I also wonder if Bard takes into account private homes going independent as they do add up over a world wide situation.
Cheers, Steve.

English, so it would seem, was not yours.
What is the point of the thread?
Fred why are you on this Forum? You never been to the Philippines.
You have 28,000+ posts. Lets do the math. 28,000 posts times 3 minutes. (84,000 minutes) 1400 hours.
This is your life's accomplishments, sad story.
Fred, if the post is pointless for you then why waste your time entertaining it? I had a fox terrier that was like your thoughts, just have a go at everyone because it keeps you entertained? Expat forums are for sharing thoughts and information for all instead of biting heels because you don't like what they share.
Bobs post is relevant with regards to the world we currently live in and the direction our world is headed.
OMO.
Cheers, Steve.

1 how do you know I have never been there?
2 Regardless od answer 1, why does it matter on a topic that covers the world?
Unless the Philippines doesn't share its atmosphere.
Golly, what planet are you from Fred? A penchant hate for anything American as well as those that disagree with you, get a life.
Simply remember why you are not speaking German, Japanese or now Mandarin. Are you peeved that mother England is not the worlds leading power anymore?
Bobs post is relevant for those interested, otherwise keep away with diatribe.

Animal husbandry 14.5%
I must say I was surprised when I learnt about this aspect of emissions. Apparently, contrary to common perceptions it ain't the farts but the burps that emit most of the methane.
I'm a big milk consumer and enjoy my beef so do hope the Labour party sandal wearing vegetarian lefties from South Jakarta, (sorry, I meant Islington in London) will take note when they decide to put VAT on certain types of unpolitically correct foodstuffs 🙄

I speak a little Mandarin, and why is that wrong? It helps me communicate with some of the best capitalists in the world.
I don't hate America, just American foreign policy that kills by the millions.
Biden's war in Ukraine is a recent example.
And the topic remains? Rice production contributes 1.5% of green house gases.
Cheers, Steve.

And what?
Does this mean we should eat bread?
Humans produce lots of greenhouse gases, especially vegans.

We need to stop farting immediately or the planet is doomed
Fred is right. ''balderdash''.
All green plants convert Carbon dioxide to Oxygen. without them, our planet would be dead.
The Tropics are especially valuable in this respect, as the plants here don't shut down for almost half a year in Winter. As do plants in many other parts of the world.
Rice will eliminate far more so called ''Greenhouse Gas'' than it's production is responsible for.

Rice produced in flooded paddy fields is a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions, mostly methane.
It produces more greenhouse gases than it reduces in photosynthesis.
A quick look at what AI says.
One says 1.5 of global emissions
another says 48%
Let's, at least for the moment, assume the OP is a load of old man-cow poop

Fred I asked you many times why you spend so much time on the Philippine forum?
You have never been to the Philippines, so what do you have to offer about Philippine life?
Nada
Rice is common in Indonesia, not exclusive to the the filly peens. - @Fred
50% of the world considers rice to be a staple food. However, the globalist WEF elites want to shame us all for causing so-called greenhouse gasses as the people eat to survive. The people should never allow this evil organization to control their behavior; after all, who are they but a largely non-productive community of people whose only distinction is wealth, often ingerited wealth, not intelligence but often patronage and who have no standing as to what people should eat to stay alive. This last US election should shut Klaus schwab and his clowss out of the picture for a few years as they come up with plans for all of us to eat bugs as a protien source or whatever other hair'brained ideas they may have. Obviously I see little connection between climate change allegedly caused by man and how much rice we grow for staple food or the ways in which we grow it.

The largest per capita is Australia at 14.56 million metric tons CO2 per capita. The US is second at 13.56 which is a bit disappointing. It probably indicates the slowing de-industrialization in the US as it became more of a service economy under liberal leadership as US companies sent their manufacturing overseas and to Mexico.
It looks like the Australian economy is expending the high energy per capita (thus CO2) required for positive economic growth. Kudos to them.
Americans may regain first place in energy production and consumption under Trump as his policies encourage more manufacturing in country. We hope so.
By the way, this is the only useful application I can find for data relating to the greenhouse scam.
Not sure how Australia got dragged into this as you are comparing apples and oranges and needs to be based on GDP and country class, 1st, 2nd or 3rd world countries, many of the countries mentioned are still using candles or other forms of lighting. Australia has a pretty good record for green thinking for the last 30 odd years. The worst emitters seem to be the UAE.
Or per capita.
https://www.worldometers.info/co2-emiss … er-capita/
And while Australia is up there on the list of Co2 emissions could be attributed to a wealthy country with a low population, alternative power sources still has a long way to go,,,,, as do most countries. Time and education will be the winners.
We have reduced our Co2 emissions last year by 14 tons and no power bills.
Cheers, Steve.
