Moving to Malaysia to live & work

Budge94

Hi everyone!

I'm certain this question has been asked a lot on this forum, but I have not yet come across anything for my particular use case.

I am Irish, working for an IT company for the past 9 years. We have international offices across Europe, South Africa & Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).

I have expressed interest to my employer that I wish to move country and I have received approval for the move to happen. Malaysia is my destination of choice.

My question is, what does the visa procedure look like for someone such as myself that wants to move to Malaysia whilst continuing my work for a multi-national company?

My understanding from my own research is that it may be the exact same employment pass procedure with the same/mostly the same documentation being required. The employer will need to submit the visa application on my behalf using my documentation, copies of passports & photos, etc.

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards,

B

In my case, (I got a job in Malaysia), my employer applied for the employment pass for myself and the dependent passes for my wife and kids. It should be the same in your case I would assume.
