Hello, Stemakeli! My name is Miranda, I am a lawyer in Georgia.

In order to replace a driving license issued by a foreign country, a foreign citizen or a stateless person must submit:

1. Passport or residence permit;
2. The foreign driving license to be replaced (the document must not be expired);
3. Confirmation of the driving license (the confirmation must be legalized or apostilled in accordance with the law; it is also recommended that the definitions of the categories covered by the driving license be specified);
4. Health certificate (Form IV-100/a);Proof of fee payment.

The fee for replacing a driving license is 15 GEL.You will receive the replaced driving license within a few minutes.

Note: When replacing a foreign driving license, the confirmation document will not be accepted if more than 90 calendar days have passed between its issuance and submission to the Agency.The confirmation of the driving license must be issued and apostilled by the relevant authority of the foreign country. Upon receiving it in Georgia, before submitting the application, you will need to have it translated into Georgian and notarized, which costs approximately 100-200 GEL.

You can obtain Form IV-100/a here at any medical institution, and it costs approximately 50 GEL.

The replacement of a driving license issued by a foreign country can be done at any branch of the Service Agency. This service cannot be performed remotely.
