Getting my first driving licence in Tbilisi

Hey,

After checking out Georgia during the summer I am excited to be moving there after Christmas.

I thought it would be a great country to have a car but I do not have a licence. Did anyone get one when they moved there under a work residence permit? Is it possible? I have already read about the process citizens go through with the theory and practical test. Is it the same for expats?

I have seen loads of information on how someone who already has a licence can drive there but nothing clear for us beginners.
