Retirement residency in Georgia

Hello,

I just signed up, so, thank you for having me.

I hope this is ok to post.

I have a question for international expats living in Georgia, especially expats that are retired to would like to retire. I can’t understand why this country doesn’t have a retirement option.

Have any of you tried to write a letter, and include other expats’ signatures, and submit a formal proposal?

If not, and if you’re onboard with me, I can try (even though I’ve never done it) to create something formal, and submit to the government of Georgia, outlining the benefits and potential impacts of creating such option.

But first, I need to ask you, dear expats, if you’d like join me. Thank you.

Hello JackieChantel,

Welcome to Expat.com 😀

Just checking in on your post. Have you received any updates or feedback from other expats since you shared it?

It would also be interesting to hear if you have made any progress.

Cheers,

Hello Cheryl, my apologies for the late reply. No, I haven’t.

I’d love to start the letter to the government about retirement residency option for expats in Georgia, however, I need to hear from other expats, and so far, nothing.

I’m not sure how to contact anyone here, or if there are other options. I don’t have any social media, and don’t know anyone in Tbilisi.

Do you have any advice for me?
