Help with obtaining (GEL) ₾ in Cyprus

Hi there😀

I'm planning to take a trip to Tbilisi in a few months time,but am finding it difficult to obtain currency through the local exchange currency outlets here in Paphos (Cyprus)

Does anyone know or can recommend the best way of getting cash prior to my trip

and also does anyone know if I can use my Santander debit card for doing making for purchases in restaurants, bars etc

Hello

You just can exchange your money in Tbilisi when you arrive. in case if you want to exchange at the airport be careful and check what is the best exchange price (some of them give 2.5 lari for one euro which is low compared to about 3 lari)

As for Santander debit you can use it in most places in Tbilisi, but you need to inform your bank about your travel plans so they will not block your card for safety issues.
