Is dental treatment in Cambodia worth it?

Hi. I got some dental work done here in Siem Reap. My partner is Khmer and she took me to her dentist. I had not been in some time. I had broken tooth the dentist replaced. Then fixed some followup issues. I found the entire process to be very well done. The dentist spoke English but my partner was there too to help translate. I ended up going twice and both times were very well done. I may even go back. I found the dentist to be very trustworthy and treated me very well. Also close to where we live.

Just my opinion based on limited experience (I don't have a lot of dental problems fortunately):

Treatment in neighboring Vietnam is likely to be better quality and less expensive. For example, I had a teeth cleaning/polishing in Kampot a couple years ago, which cost $15. Recently, I received the same service in southern Vietnam and it was much more thorough and only cost $6 (150k vnd).

Not sure about Thailand, but that may be another option.

I think the main factor could be competition; there are a lot more dentists in VN so  they need to offer the best service possible at a low cost.

My main interest was finding a local dentist that would repair a broken tooth. My partner called her dentist which is down the street and arranged an appointment. I felt this service was well done and very professionally handled. My partner handled the expenses with the dentist but he would not take payment for the second visit which was because of an infected gum. He took care of me as soon as he found out the issue. I think his service was quite good. I think cambodian dentists are quite good. I don't go often but I would go back for tooth cleaning or other work. He was very professional to deal with and local.
