Health insurance over 60

Hey all.
Looking for expat health insurance. Anyone experience with health issues, over 60, mix of local Khmer and Emergency transport insurance? Recommendations? Local brokers?

I'd prefer to get some personel experience of people with these  insurances, because I know how big the differnce between contract and benefits in cause of actual claim can be 😉

Hello. There are a few health insurance providers in Cambodia. Two that come to mind are AG Cambodia and Forte. You can open queries with them online. That being said, I do not use these services at all.  I just pay for the service I need at a local hospital or clinic in Siem Reap. Health care here has been improving significantly and more hospitals and medical centers are opening here to provide a variety of service. 

Like I said I have no first hand experience with either of these providers. Your best bet is to contact them online yourself.

Hello. I've been in Cambodia since 2019 and I started with an health insurance cover in 2021. I didn't use a broker; I don't think it's necessary. After some research, I opted for SafetyNet (local) coverage, managed by Forte. Since last year, it's been offered through Dara Insurance and is called AssurNet, but it's the same thing. I chose level 2 (PHP Standard), which costs around USD 830 per year (I'm 60 years old). It doesn't cover outpatient expenses (doctor's visits, dentist appointments, etc.). It covers hospitalization costs (including cancer treatments, etc., even abroad), with a direct reimbursement of 90% (within the network of partner hospitals and clinics), or 80% otherwise. I'm very satisfied, from experience it works perfectly as they say. I can give you their contact information if you'd like. You let me know. All the best

Ik lived from 2006- 2008 in Thailand and worked from 2008 to 2024 in Vietnam.

When I lived in Vietnam, I searched for an affordable health insurance too.

Some guy told me that he was an agent for Pacific Cross and this insurance was really affordable.

I never paid more than $500 a year for my Pacific Cross health insurance, but of course the older you get, the higher the premium will be.

And yes.... I had worldwide coverage, so while working in Vietnam I could go for treatment to Thailand (if necessary).

All the other health insurance companies charged me at least $100-120 a month!!!

I met a guy in a hotel in Sihanoukville in April 2024 who paid $2000 a year for his health insurance (while he was about 15 years younger than me at the time).

So, if I were you, I certainly would check out Pacific Cross (And no, no, I am NOT an insurance broker!).
