Here's some figures
> accommodation prices:
this is really dependant on the area that you live in - the northern suburbs, and areas such as borrowdale brooke can be on average in excess of $1000, especially if the property comes with a borehole, generator, water tank etc..
> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...:
erm there isn't really much of a public transport system - mostly people drive themselves/private transport, petrol and desiel is under $1.20 in most places. There are buses, and E.T.'s (emergency taxis/matatus) that drive around, however the cost is minimal.
> health prices (for those who need medical insurance: You have to take out medical aid - otherwise you can't get any medical care - however often employers foot the bill.
> eduction prices (if you need to pay: you always need to pay - approx $1200 per term (3terms a year), the international school is a bit more, there are government schools but the standard/facilities are pretty dire these days.
> energy prices (oil, electricity): zesa is expensive - especially since there isn't much electricity most days.
> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant:
popular restaurant meals range from $3-$6 for a toasted sandwich at lunch, $10-$20 for a good steak and meal, $50 for a meal for two, it all depends where you go/what you order. Millers is more expensive than Fusion for example.
> prices of a beer and or a coffee:
Beer ranges from $1-$2 for local beer/ $2/3 for imported, the same with spirits, coffee ranges from $1/$2 for filter, to $3/4/5 for liquer coffee/cappucinos etc. Beer in the shops ranges from .75 cents to about $2
