Certificate of change of residency

I have . You need a signed leade or rental agreement.  Preferably for a year. Plus it has to be stamped and notorized. Then you need to go to the lical Gendarmerie and get the list of needed papers for your Moroccan Residency. Do all that plus get them stamped and notorized and get your criminal background clearance in Rabat  and once that is completed and you are approved and have your card you can ship your goods.

thank You for your help but I am wanting to commence the shipping before I get to Morocco? can this occur. I have provided the Moroccan address details. they stated I must provide the certificate from my country of origin? the Aussie embassy in Rabat and Paris both advised they do not assist w this document. I've been trying for month to get this done...

I am sorry to break this to you but no consulate or embassy will give you such a letter, you only get a letter from morocco embassy in your country if you are MOROCCAN returning to morocco wth your belogings and household stuff without paying Custom Duty. There is no other way i am telling you this from personal experience regardless to who ever tell you otherwise i only believe what i have been through so this is the plain and simple pay the duty on your things only other thing i can think of that if you are in morocco and apply for carte a sajour which is resident visa then you can go to port with papers and try to convince the officer there but again its not a day or week or even atleast 3 to 4 months before you can get carte a sajour so i amaffriad no other way. And do you suppose she do that as i know for sure she cant bring her things through shipping company without paying custom duty even secondhand goods i paid €800 even when i drove in a van and i own a house here i had all the papers i was in tangier port for 11 days and at the end i had to pay and bribe too.

I had to get various documents to provide to Moroccan customs. These were specific to my personal circumstances and the certificate was obtained from the Moroccan embassy to finalise documents for shipping.

I'm happy you finally got the documents you need. My experience is that moroccans are very welcoming and helpful. If you need help go yourself to the respective offices and you will find someone to assist you.
My sister shipped her belongings from Denmark and the customs official asked for proof of residence. We had copies of ownership papers as she bought a house but they wanted original notarized documents . We came back the next day with originals and the customs released her belongings no questions asked. We only had to wait while the goods were inspected and then we left.
The whole process was very smooth and the customs official spoke good English and was very very helpful.
So I am always skeptical of people who claim you have to bribe for whatever reason!
If you have the required documentation and follow the rules, why bribe? When you bribe it implies that you are doing something wrong! If you are not getting help ask to speak to the senior person in that office. This always works.

Pack all same items in boxes clearly labelled in Arabic for customs officers. Do not send anything that is offensive to Islam. (books etc showing nudity.) Good luck.

I am having the same trouble now in August 2020.  I'm unable to obtain a Certificate of Change of Residency from the Australian Embassy in Morocco.  They suggested a Stat Dec which they will sign and stamp but the customs agents here in Morocco said it wouldn't be acceptable.  I am already living in Marrakech and am shipping my personal stuff over but they want the Certificate.  Also tried the Moroccan Embassy in Canberra with no success.
How did you obtain yours please.  Help would greatly be appreciated!!

Everyone's circumstances are different but for me the help came from the Moroccan Embassy in Australia. I was able to get a suitable letter with official details that allowed my shipping. Please bear in mind that once u ship a ur things here its almost impossible to easily get them back home again. In hind sight I may not have gone down this path. Good luck and reach out if u need:)
