Planning to move to Morocco

I'm traveling to Morocco in October as the first step in moving. I have a home to rent out in the U.S. and a business to take care of before I move, but in October I'll be visiting the country to see where I might like to live. I'm looking at Essaouira in winter and Ifrane in summer. I love dancing, travel and writing. I'm a ballroom dancer but hoping to learn some traditional Moroccan dance when I move. I have lived in Ghana before so I am not new to living in a Muslim country - or a hot climate. I miss it. Jessica

I love Essouiera, and will likely settle there once I retire in a few years. Have not been to Ifrane yet

I Hope this email finds you well. ***. After moving from the US in 2014, Morocco can be a little challenging at times to find your way and get your bearings.

Essaouira is a great choice and it is one of our favorite cities in Morocco. There you'll find different communities of Expat that live and have small businesses in the Medina (center city). you'll find also multiple expats that own and run different B&B outside the city. Essaouira is super clam and easy to navigate.

Ifran is a much smaller city and very quiet. it gets pretty cold during the fall and winter time. There aren't much activities to do there expect hiking during spring.
