We are building a house in the northern area of Mauritius and I am looking for personal supplier recommendations for the following:

Fitted kitchens

Fitted bedroom furniture

General furniture

Tiles both floor and wall

Sanitary ware

Lighting fixtures

Air conditioning installers

Solar power installers

Aluminium doors/windows

All suggestions based on personal experience gratefully received. If you have had any bad experiences then please PM me. Thanks

Hi Cheryl, I was surprised that we never got any recommendations. We are in Mauritius at the moment and looking. We have made progress with furniture but nothing else at the moment. I have a meeting with our architect next week and I hope he can provide some guidance.

Hi regarding solar Panel you can go trough with next bio Ltd. I got the installation made 18 months ago and very happy with it. They use HUAWEI devices. Regards

One thing to keep in mind is that in Mauritius, word of mouth is often the best way to find information/recommandations. Do not hesitate to ask people around you, friends, neighbours, and local businesses for reliable suppliers and contractors. You might be surprised how many great contacts you can find that way. 😉

Thanks for the recommendation, much appreciated. I have also contacted Reneworld for a proposal to include both solar panels, battery and potentially charging point for n EV car
