Hi,

Is it compulsory, for a foreigner, to have a Visa in order to enter the Pyramids or the site surrounding the area? Will they check one's passport?

Normally not required . I traveled number of times with some people who had no visa.

From my experience, I have been there many times with foreigners friends and no visa required from them, but may be the security require to check you passport as identity for a normal security check.

I went to the pyramids last week, they don't even check your passport or even ask for it. U just pay and get in

That 'd be so right, all u have to worry about are the camels & hores riders who offer the tours around, don't take 1st offers if u will interested in just keep going with best deal for u ....
