How safe is Lubumbashi to live and work?

Hi,

I got an employment offer from Lubumbashi in sales and marketing of a reputed company into consumer products. they offered me 1800 USD per month with Housing and transportation. is this salary ok?
But i really don't know how is this city. whether it is safe or not to live and work?

Shall i accept the offer? Please help me with your valuable suggestion...

Lubumbashi is pretty safe, but like any other cities, you should take safe measures when you're a newcomer.
With your salary you should be able to make it if you're not a big spender. Familiarize yourself with spots for shopping, restaurants etc.
