What are you missing in Mauritius?

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

Living in Mauritius, on the long or short run, it is completely normal to feel homesick sometimes. We would like to know what you are missing the most about your home country in Mauritius.

Do you miss any aspects of your home culture? If so, what are these?

Are you able to reproduce dishes from home and find the necessary ingredients?

What about leisure activities? Have you had to reconsider your favourite activities? If so, which ones have you had to give up?

Are there any celebrations or traditions from your home country that you cannot take part in Mauritius?

How do you cope with that in your daily life?

Thanks for your contribution!

I expect to miss the northern sky of stars since im very interested in astronomy.  On the other hand ill have a completely new sky to explore which makes up for that. Will probably take a while before i can find my way around the southern sky.  Looking forward to explore the magellian clouds.  Ill need to buy a good telescope. Otherwise i dont expect to miss much about Sweden,  but time will tell.  The reason ill relocate to Mauritius is that i love Mauritius & want a better life quality,  but also that i dont like Sweden of today.
