childcare and activities during holidays french school Firenze

Hi we are re-locating to Firenze from France. My children are 5 and 9 yrs old. They speak french, english and german and we are considering the MLF Victor Hugo school (although not my first choice) to ensure continuity with french. Does anyone have children at this school? Any opinions on other (affordable) schools with english/french?
My other question concerns holiday activities for kids. Is there an MJC type system or other sports/workshop type activities that are offered in Italy by the state or other organisations during school holidays? Many thanks for any info regarding this!
