Two Temporary residence card??

Post new topic

Hello Everyone,

I am newbie to this forum, so please pardon me in case.

I have a temporary residence permit for Norway which allows me to work for my current employer. Recently, I worked on some assignments in Norway for 6 months and then returned to my home country.

I am into a professional dilemma,  because recently
I received a job offer from different employer in Norway and when leaving my current job I've to submit my temporary work permit to my current employer said our HR department.

I am not sure what to do, I asked UDI about this but didn't receive any reply from them.

Is there anything that can help me with this?

my current residence card is still valid for around 6 more months for my current employer.

Shall I request UDI to give me another (new) temporary residence permit for this (new) employer?

I will be very grateful for anything in my regards of my query

Hi, it depends on whether the temporary resident permit is tagged to job or employer.  If it is tagged to a profession, then you can use it as long as you are working in the same profession.  If it is tagged to an employer, then you need to apply for a new one.
