Hi,

Committing to renting or buying accommodation when you’re new to or have not moved to Tunisia just yet is always a stressful endeavour. Would you like to help us in putting together a handbook of what to look out for when house hunting in Tunisia?

What are the most common scams in Tunisia?

What are the red flags to look out for when scanning through adverts?

Is there a list of registered or accredited landlords or real estate agencies in Tunisia?

What authorities should be sought should one come across an accommodation scam?

Please share your experience,

Bhavna

I would be very interested in a list of accredited registered letting agencies.

I can recommend the Vision Agency in Hammamet, they where brilliant when I was looking for somewhere to rent.

Can anyone recommend a good agency in Sousse?

It is not a scam but make sure you get the lease contract registered with the tax authority and not just municipalities. As for apartment, make sure your rent includes all the building services and guards and taxes.
