HI everyone,
I am hoping someone can help or advice on my situation. I am on working in Malaysia for more than a year now. My contract was renewed last yr Oct so my EP will expire on Oct 2019 of this year.
Unfortunately, the client I work decided to let go of their contractors due to their budget issues and I am one of them. The company I work for is trying to find a replacement job for me but not having any luck at the moment.
They have given 2 month notice until July 2019 and then they will have to cancel my employment pass.
I asked if it is possible to stay in Malaysia until my EP expiration so I have enough time to recover from surgery and find work. They told me I have to go to MDEC myself to ask and give out reason.
My surgery requires a month to recover but I cannot fly out yet.
Does anyone know the process or any suggestion on what I should do as I understand if they cancel my work visa then it means I have to exit Malaysia in July 2019

Employment Pass validity
The company has cancel the visa it is the immigration rule.
They cannot help with immigration matters after final date of your employment.
You would need a medical tourism visa. Ask your eye specialist for help arranging this.
