Remote clients while waiting for my Danish Residency Permit?

Hello!

I'm marrying a Danish citizen in April and we plan to apply for family reunification shortly thereafter. I was planning on applying when I'm in Denmark and understand  it can take up to 10 months for processing. I have two questions:

1) I know I can't work for a Danish company/employer without a work permit but I have my own consulting/freelance business and have a number of U.S. based companies I do work for remotely. Can I continue to work with my existing clients while I'm in Denmark during the processing time?

2) Schengen rules only allow me to stay for up to 90 days at a time. Does this apply while I'm waiting?

Many thanks!

Hello, I was wondering if you got an answer to your question as I have the same situation but was on hold for a long time and calling from the US so had to hang-up. Did you keep your company open and registered in the US? Thank you for any insight. Best of luck,
