Hi, We are a family of 4 and we want to immigrate to Mauritius.
We have two kids aged 8 and 5. Where do I start? Should we apply for residency? Can you start your own business there? Can anybody give me advise on where to begin, so I can start our process. Also help regarding schools, finding a house etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing you need to do is choose which plan suits you:

(a) Investor: show USD100,000 as capital, and a project that can generate MUR2 million as turnover for 1st year and MUR10 million for the next 2 years.

(b) Self-employed: show USD35,000 as capital for a profession in which you are qualified and that can generate MUR600,000 as annual income for the first 2 years and thereafter MUR1,200,000

(c) Retired: be aged 50 min and able to transfer USD30,000 per year for your own living expenses

(d) Professional: get yourself hired for an employment with a minimum monthly salary of MUR60,000 or MUR30,000 if qualified IT person.
