Informations needed on how to look for a work in the touristic branch

Hi Everybody,

Im since almoat 2 years in Turkey and I moved to Istanbul a few months ago.

Now Im looking for a job in the tourist branch, I speak several languages, also a basic turkish, and I have previous experience as tourist guide in Berlin.

I'm still not used with the job market and I don't know exactly which could be the first step to undertake to find a job in this branch.

I would like to know if you have some infos or experience about it and invite You to share it writing in this post.

unfortunately, you cant be employed as tourist guide in turkey legally as per article 6 of International Workforce Law No 6735

You need 4 years of education in tourist guide major of a university then havr to take several tests as certificates.

Other than that, what can you exactly tell tourist about ottoman history?

May be that I didn't articulate my thought in a detailed way. Sorry.

I was looking for (almost) any kind of job in the tourism in Istanbul, not specifically as a tourist guide as I knew that they need a special permission.


Is there any chanche to find any company that hires people just to assist the tourist (not explain them history or whatsoever thing) in hotel, sistemation etc.?

I'm  aware that history would be not my field as a job! :D
