Hello there,
We have applied for a dependant visa (spouse) for belgium on 21 March, 2018. The visa status is "under treatment" as per ibz site. Meanwhile, the applicant has got an acceptance letter from VUB for a masters' program starting from Sep, 2018. Should we inform the embassy about the same for expediting the visa process? or It might have some counter effect ?

You may write to DOFI stating that your spouse's university application is now accepted and it would be great for her to be in Belgium before the course start date. I dont really know if this will have any negative impact. Would consult an immigration lawyer.
