Hi there. We are thinking of immigrating to mauritius from South Africa and would like to know more about all the legal stuff. Schools etc etc. My daughter is 16 yearrs old and obviously needs to tens school aswell. Can we get visas under my daughters study visa? My husband is working in the republic of Congo and earns his salary in US dollars. Will we quailify for permanent visas if he still works outside of Mauritius and my daughter and myself livevin Mauritius?

You cannot live in Mauritius under your daughter's student visa.
You will either need an Occupation/Resident Permit to live long term.

The simplest way is to buy a property costing at least $500,000 in a real estate program for foreigners together with your husband, irrespective of whether he will be living in Mauritius or not.

Your daughter will be your dependent until she reaches 24 years of age.

Your husband can find other means to get a residency permit in Mauritius or you can apply for it. There are different schemes and if you`re clever enough, you can find the best formula. From your post, I can see that you`ve got cards to play.
