I'm just curious if anyone on this forum has been to Dominica, and if so, what can you tell me about that particular island? How far is it off the coast of the Dominican is it?

I was there a number of years ago. It is beautiful but quite small in comparison. how far? No idea. Remember google is your friend!

It's quite a ways away! Maybe 700 miles? Dominica is part of the Lesser Antilles, near Martinique.

Yes, I did google it after Planner's last post and was quite surprised to see it was such a distance, farther than Bermuda is to the US. For some reason, I was thinking it was just off the coast of the Dominican, much like Cuba would be to the US or Vieques to Puerto Rico.

If anyone does have any first hand experience with the island, please feel free to share by private messaging me.
