Improving conversational skills

An acquaintance will be visiting northern Spain for several months and while there, would like to improve his conversational Spanish. Has anyone had experiences using websites offering "face to face" meetings with those who want to practice their english? Some websites I have found are www.intercambiodeidioma.com and www.openlanguageexchange.com

.there are lots of Spanish want to improve their English...I have done it twice now and made new friends...just meet for coffee every week....
