Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in Canada??

Can't speak about other parts of the country but Vancouver and thereabouts I find the Canadians very nice, polite, but very private! People from other parts of the province are much more communicative I've found....away from cities is always better in that respect.

I say, don't be shy and just talk to people, online or in person. Don't be afraid of your accent or proper usage of English. You'll pick it up along the way.

Getting involved with the community also helps. Just be a "people person" and you will find that many people will welcome you into their lives. Make the first move!
