Homesickness is a matter of time and the personality of the individual. The first two years was extremely difficult for me. Missing family, friends, autumn colors, football and the Holiday Season. Some people can get over these things and others cannot. I can remember someone saying that they could not wait to get home and drink the water. Honduras is much different now than it was, so there are many establishments that cater to Americans/Canadians. Advice is to pick up a new hobby. When you feel low get busy on that new hobby!
