Jordan sounds like a place I would want to live out my life

Salam, hello, I'm getting the picture of Jordan now. it sounds like a place I would want to live out my life... I am an American and our pace of life is fast and furious, I would welcome a peaceful countryside any day of the week, if you know what that means. How is the cellular and internet connection? Do they have land lines? Thank you for your time.            Sincerely, Fatima

Cellular service is good, at least in Amman. Relatively inexpensive too. Internet is through the cellular company as well, as there is no cable or fios here. Bring your cell phone as they are expensive here, just make sure it's GSM unlocked and will work here. I don't have any problems with Internet or cell service here.

Yes, we have landlines but I use it mostly for Internet connection.
There are three main mobile providers and  depending on were you live, one of them works for the best for you. You have to sort this out.

your best choice in the beginning is a mobile device receives 4G internet and provide wifi for all of your devices.

and this work in the country side in most areas of Jordan.
