Salary advice near St Petersburg- 3000euros after taxes- decent?

Hi there,

I was hoping someone on here might give me some advice.

I recently saw an interesting job opportunity 70km from St Petersburg. I contacted the company and have spoken a bit to them in the last few days.

They seem quite interested to hire me and asked my salary expectations. Of course, knowing very little about Russia I have no idea what my minimum or maximum figure should be.

They mentioned a figure of around 3000 euro after taxes. I was wondering if that is a decent wage?

I have read posts on forums where people are paying 2,000 per month on apartments alone, in which case the 3,000 euro per month must be a very low wage?

Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks

I have been advised that the best place to live, for the commute to the job, is Peterhof... So hopefully someone can advise on that area, as opposed to St Petersburg itself
