Finding work in NovosibirskŠ shutterstock.com

Have you ever heard about Novosibirsk? If not, you can start by discovering this buzzing city and the numerous opportunities which are available there, if you are planning to settle in Russia. Novosibirsk is found in Siberia, over 3,000km from Moscow, and is deemed to be the Urals' major metropolis. To date, its population amounts to more than 1.5 million inhabitants, including a large number of foreigners.

Novosibirsk's economy

If Moscow is the economic and political centre of the country, Novosibirsk is Russia's industrial capital city. Since the Second World War, when all main industries located in Western Russia were evacuated in Novosibirsk, the city's economy has relied on the car, aircraft, and train industries. Novosibirsk is a real Russian hub in the machinery and metallurgical fields. Technologies, trade with Eastern Asian countries, logistics, and nuclear energy are also important for the city's economy.

Novosibirsk also hosts many international firms such as Nestle, Intel, Excelsior LLC, etc., as well as the Novosibirsk Technopark.
