Nigerian in Brazil need birth certificate for mariage. How to get this

my question is this... i am from Nigerian but living here in Brazil... am not here with my birth certificate and i need this for wedding ....... i need your opinion on what to do cos i need the original document and i dont have it here with me

Hi you can ask a lawyer in Nigeria to do you an affidavit that he would take to the brazillian high commission in Nigeria for notorization and authentication before he sends it to you, I hope this helps cheers!

ok i understand that now....  can it be scan to me and will it be allowed when it scanned and print here in brazil ...

No it can't be scanned. The law requires it to be the ORIGINAL document, with a raised seal. It must also be notarized and authenticated by the High Commission in Nigeria before being sent to you here.

Unfortunately it sounds like you need to go back to Nigeria yourself, or have someone get your birth certificate legalized in Nigeria and mail it to you.

It's a pain, but there's no easy way around it.
