Travel while waiting for temporary visa

Post new topic

stayinalive

Hello

I am currently waiting for temporary residence application to be processed. I was given an Application for Residence In Malta receipt when my application was submitted. This has given me legal residence in Malta until end of August. My original 90 days expired yesterday.

Does anyone know if this allows me to leave Malta for a few weeks and come back in? Since I am still legally allowed to reside in Malta?

Thanks

You have applied for but not yet received temporary residence in Malta. As such your permit and legallity is valid for Malta only. You would probably have a problem even travelling within the Schengen area as your permit will be checked.

Your original 3 month Schengen visa has expired and is not extendable.

Cheers
Ricky
