Re/Max is one of the largest rental agencies world-wide and in Malta.

I'm sure they operate to strict standards with no room for 'scam'.

If I understand you right your friend wants to rent out his apartment. Re/Max would be between him and potential renters but the rental contract would not be with Re/Max. It would be between the two involved parties , owner and renter.

Re/Max is a good company ,like many others in Malta.

what kind of contract are you talking about? Is there a contract or isn't there a contract with Re/Max? If Re/Max said there will be no contract between them and the owner then there won't be a contract.

Does your friend have a contract with Re/Max that they 'take care' of his property?

I cannot answer your question without the right information but Re/Max is a large real estate company in Malta and will deal on a professional basis.

Take care of your property?
Don't they just rent it out and take half the first months rental as the fee?
If you want them to look after it then they will charge for the service.
