Bringing your own furniture into montenegro

hi all,
we've bought a house in montenegro and would like to move our furniture down from England by the use of a van by ourselves.
I've heard that you have to pay 13% & 15% import vat and duty (or something) on all goods.  does this apply to furniture that is already yours and how do you go about it when you arrive at the borders??

Would much appreciate help here as we need to do this quite soon and are having no luck in finding out how to go about it :-(
