Hello, I hope you can help or offer advice. I am looking for a private rental apartment (not a hotel) in Safaga (Bur Safajah, Al Bahr Al Ahmar). My fiance and I will be there for 2 weeks in August 2013. If you have any local information on agencies i can contact as there really is no information on the internet for renting in the Safaga area that i can find, so your help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Please help!

Hi,

If your fiancee is Egyptian, you wil have to produce a marriage certificate, or nobody in Safaga will ever rent you a flat. Safaga is a traditional town with a much stronger Islamic flair, comparing to hurghada.

I also would like to remind foreign ladies that according to Egyptian Law sharing flat with an unmarried partner (Egyptian) is a crime.

I am sure the Egyptian counterpart is well informed about his country rules and regulations.
