Hello All,
I am currently in negotiations for a one or two year contract with the King Faisal Hospital in Jeddah.
I am interested in hearing from anyone who is working there or has worked there regarding the conditions and lifestyle there. Specifically any information regarding the Al-Amoudia Village compound.
What's available and how is the quality of services and buildings etc. Also, how is it to work at the hospital. I would be in the Emergency Dept.
Any word on activities, internet connection and TV, trips and activities, cost of living, etc would be welcome and appreciated.

I see you will be working at a hospital -- how can I find out if they need Respiratory Therapists? My brother is looking to relocate too! Did you go through a recruiter or directly with the hospital?

Quick clarification, I was referring to KFSH in Riyadh. I am not 100% sure whether the Jeddah based KFH has any links to KFSH. Maybe Salman can confirm this.

Thanks for the feedback. I apologize for the late response, I had a brief period without internet.
I received this job offer through a recruiter at Helen Ziegler and Associates their website is http://www.hziegler.com/. They have been fantastic and I highly recommend them. They specialize in health care positions, so I would imagine they have information about Respiratory Therapists as well.
I have been told that the KFSRC in Jeddah is essentially the same as the one in Riyadh so I am excited to be a part of it!
I am also a diver, so for now, Jeddah is the perfect place for me. I am scheduled to leave March 29 and I hope to meet many of you when I settle in. This site has been a wonderful resource for understanding and anticipating my new life in KSA. THANK YOU!

I have been offered a job in the very same place as you. Just wondered how you found it and weather you could give me any info. I'll be heading over in Jan/Feb if I accept my post. Just waiting do find out salary etc.
