Living & working in Malaysia - visa requirements

I work for a company based in Europe (Netherlands) and the plan is for me to relocate to Asia. I'd be moving with my family (2 young children)

Am considering Malaysia (KL) because it seems a good compromise in terms of language (English), cost of living, good connections to the rest of Asia and general quality of life. If anyone has any better suggestions please let me know

My company doesn't currently have an office in Malaysia so can anyone advise if its feasible to move there and what the visa requirements are? I'd be based out of a home office

Thanks

Hi you need specialised help with that one as all I know is that getting a work permit requires a local company - and that is done on purpose as they want local tax returns etc. I think what you plan is not workable but of course there are workarounds people will suggest but never fully legal. It is far better for your company to set up a local company here and quite cheap actually. You can be a director of that and get a WP.

hope other members will give u rich information

hi,
have an agent in malaysia for work permit/residence pass.is it ok to go through him?also i am from marketing/sales background, with 15 years experience.is it easy getting a job in malaysia?
kindly give suggestions.looking forward.thanks.

Please take note that you will not receive an employment visa in Malaysia unless you have a job/sponsor(employer)so be careful and not pay for anything. Most Employers will handle your work permit by using their own immigration consultants...

hi,

could you please provide me the details of the agent.
