Hi there I have been offered a job in Hsinchu -Science Park area. I was offered 70,000NT / month (before taxes, which I know is HIGH for the first 6 months).
There is no housing allowance with this school so therefore I have to make sure that our family can afford everything.
Keep in mind that 18,100 NT has to come back to our country to pay some loans.
We are a family of 2 adults, one 3-yr old (whose schooling is 30,000NT a year), and two dogs.
Is this something that we will be able to manage? My husband will be doing importing and exporting from China to Egypt and Dubai but we don't know how long it will take for his business to get up and running so we are looking at worst case scenario that we have to live off of my salary totally...
Any suggestions or opinions would be great.

That amount is doable, but you would need to be thrifty to manage the money for a family. Hsinchu is not as expensive to live as Taipei, and you could find a decent sized place to live for around $15,000 a month. (Maybe less)
