Searching for House to Rent

My first reaction is that 600 euros is a skimpy budget for a house rental. I'm not an expert on Sofia real estate, but I know it's expensive, and this seems WAY short of the mark. My guess is that you'd be hard-pressed to find a nice 1 bed apartment with 1 parking space for that budget.

More generally, there are not lots of house rentals anyway. You will have a lot more options if you consider apartments.

400 euros for a big fancy house in Sofia, is VERY unlikely! Plus the text mentions Prague as the location, which is a bit of a red flag. Personally I would ignore or block this user. But if you're already in Sofia, and he says he has a house there for you to view, then please enjoy the adventure. :-)

OLX (dot bg) is a site popular with the locals, and has listings by both owners and agents. It's harder for an expat to do a deal on here because lots of posters don't speak English or don't respond to foreigners, but it's great as a bit of research to check what kind of properties are available for your budget. It's much easier to sign a contract with a big agent who deals with lots of expats.

As a quick example from the above searches, this is one of the cheaper options with parking: it's a modern furnished 1 bed apartment for 700 euros plus 100 euros for the underground parking space.

As stated..your budget is too small for what you want..a house..garage..parking..and i assume fully furnished...its possible around 800lv a month..plus bills.

Do your research..but better from sofia and not from a distance..good luck.

Not sure about that person, better check the property on site. Try to find the actual owner, if that property exists at all.

1200 BGN for a house and a garage is not much. How close to Sofia would you like to be ? It could be possible though.

As if by magic this ad appeared after your post. :-) It looks very nice, and it has an off-street parking space, and it's less than 20km (30 minutes) from downtown Sofia. And at 800 euros per month, it's pretty close to your desired rent.

@onethorn1 the kind of money you want to bear for rent you can buy now it's called rent to buy I am from England and I am going to do the same thing you were going to do I am buying two houses now for 250 pound a month

@onethorn1 right now I am buying a free bedroom and a four bedroom I pair 250 pound every month I nearly paid it off but that's what I was gonna do when announce then I found out you can get houses called rent to buy like one of my houses got buildings and a lot of land I picked a free bedroom note for free films and five hundred and I picked a four bedroomed up for six grand a only needs minor work and your budget is 700 pound you can get a decent out for that a month

The original poster wants somewhere very close to Sofia, which I think might make it less likely to find somewhere on a rent to buy.
