What's the laundry situation in Malta apartments?

Post new topic

CEH

I see washers in some and dryers in very few. And yet I don't see a lot of pics with laundry hanging outside to dry. Do most residents us a laundry service or are there laundromats? I'm looking especially in Valletta and Sliema. Thank you!

Can only speak for Gozo but I have never seen a Launderette/Laundermat!

One or two Dry cleaners/Laundry businesses but most in our area still use washing machine and outside washing lines or clothes horse. Tend not to put it on front balconies usually on roof or rear terrace/balcony.

@CEH Some houses/maisonettes  have roofs and or backyards and so people hang their washing there and in no time all the wash is dry especially with the amount of  sunshine Malta enjoys. Others opt for a tumble dryer or a clothes horse which is put discreetly on the balcony to dry.

Why should they show pics of washing out?

Cynic

Apologies upfront.

For those who really need pictures of washing hung out in Malta, this link will take you straight to plenty of them. There are even links on how to hang out your washing properly.

Dont expect dry cleaners like in the rest of the world "24 hours service" its more like 24 days service.
